SHAZAM provides flexible options for card issuers to authorize financial transactions without being directly connected to the switch.
- Card authorization files can be provided by the issuer for SHAZAM to use for authorizing transactions based on daily limits.
- Issuers can periodically provide SHAZAM updated files containing cardholder balances.
SHAZAM has certified interfaces with most of the leading software vendors. This allows you to transfer card and balance file information to SHAZAM electronically. If you have a relatively small number of cards, you may elect to use SHAZAM Access, SHAZAM's online administrative tool, to manually enter your card or balance file information.
Financial transactions authorized by SHAZAM on your behalf need to be posted to your cardholders' accounts. SHAZAM provides the transactions in a standard NACHA-formatted file, which can be easily imported and posted to customer accounts. The posting files can be downloaded directly from SHAZAM
through a secure Internet connection, either manually with a Web browser or automatically with an FTP or NDM client. SHAZAM can also provide the posting items through the Federal Reserve's automated clearing house (ACH) network. |
